Job Description:

Our client, a prominent and influential company in the Bulgarian insurance market, is actively seeking to hire a highly skilled Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team committed to excellence and continuous improvement in delivering top-tier insurance products and services.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other field of Information.
• Minimum of 5 years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, dev. team lead, architect, or other hands-on leadership role in software development or design.
• Developing IT infrastructure architectures for the financial industry, using applicable frameworks and standards to document resilient, high-availability solutions that address network, storage, and computing (i.e., cloud) of ITSM best practices with the demonstrated ability to incorporate ITSM processes, functions and tools into solution scope, cost, and schedule.

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

• Proficient in developing Microservices Architecture, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), REST, and Web Services.
• Expertise in Java frameworks or .NET Core within Public Cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data center environments like OpenShift, Docker, Kafka, and API Management tools.
• Experience managing multiple instances of mission-critical services or IT applications.
• Skilled in analyzing, planning, and deploying IT solutions.
• Strong understanding of design and architectural principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and justify solution architecture designs.
• Broad knowledge of information solutions and products, especially in the financial sector or banking (highly advantageous).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies.
• Capability to rapidly assess and apply evolving technologies to meet business needs.
• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies, such as TOGAF or equivalent.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components including servers, networks, storage, firewalls, load balancers, and routers.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and engaging with board-level stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude, with strong conceptual and analytical skills demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Teamwork experience with leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop consistent solution architectures based on specific requirements and business contexts across all IT architecture layers (data, application, and technology).
• Design technology solutions that align business requirements with systems and technical specifications, ensuring adherence to the enterprise architectural plan.
• Provide technical and/or solution consulting throughout the entire project lifecycle (pre-study, conception, analysis, design, build, deploy, test).
• Design, specify, and select information system solutions, considering aspects such as functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
• Support the organization in leveraging technology to drive change and enhance business process design through IT solutions.
• Implement functional and architectural changes to achieve optimal solutions.
• Act as a liaison between data consumer representatives and application solution development teams.
• Ensure solution architecture integrity throughout the project lifecycle, in collaboration with the Chief IT Architect and data and technology architects.
