This role is for a leading global provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing the complex machinery critical to the manufacture of integrated circuits and chips. As a software developer, you will be working in teams of 5-10 people, consisting of team lead, technical lead/architect, multiple developers, and QA.

 

Job Description:

You will work closely with Sofia and your Dutch colleagues to define and refine detailed software requirements. After defining these software requirements, create a software design and review it with your colleagues. After release, you are responsible for implementing the design in C and unit testing it (mostly Python, but sometimes C and C++ as well). Code quality is ensured by both static code analysis tools and reviews. Once the code passes quality control, he can download and test it in one of his lithography machine simulations (actual cost is between $5 million for her and $100 million for him, so code is tested on a simulation machine).

During the testing, the necessary data is collected so a test report can be written. This test report is reviewed and when it is approved your software will be released. After the release of your software, it is installed on lithography systems all over the world. The development environment is Red Hat Linux, execution environment is Wind River Linux. 

 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in programming in C; 
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal);
  • Team player and proactive attitude;
  • Advantage would be:
  • Experience in programming in Python;
  • Experience with agile development methods;
  • Unix programming experiences, preferably on Solaris or Linux.
